Ryan Sternberg is an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering student at Arizona State University and serves as a Mechanical Engineer at Duckweed Labs. This role entails collaborating with all the science and engineering teams to brainstorm mechanical designs for the DPSD device, ensuring that all team members are heard and all critical design elements are addressed to eliminate potential difficulties and maximize the plant production in space. Prior to his role at Duckweed Labs, Ryan participated in the L'Space Mission Concept Academy as a mechanical engineer, as well as multiple freelance design positions for several companies and organizations. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware but hopes to transition from accounting to a new and exciting career in engineering that challenges his creativity and critical thinking, offers greater responsibility, and allows for contribution to the rapidly expanding aerospace field.
